Position: Maven in Training

 

Job Overview

 

This program is designed to grow a new stylist into a confident, educated and successful hair Maven that is living their dream life in and outside of the salon. 

 

Training begins in a support/administrative role which teaches each new team member all aspects of How Maven operates so that they can be empathetic and supportive to all roles in the company. This also allows time to bond with guests and team members while learning the basics of what it takes to be a successful Maven Team Member. This encompases guest relations/communications, salon supporting in the team and guest experience 

 

After support training is completed, the MIT begins training in all aspects of becoming a successful Maven Stylists including technical, guest experience, social media, and all things related to building your own business behind the chair. 

 

Responsibility Overview

  • Be a supportive and collaborative team member

  • Administrative 

  • Guest Relations/Communications 

  • Support Team and Guest Experience in the salon

  • Complete MIT Program in full 

  • Social media & Marketing for salon and own professional pages 

Earnings Range

 

Hourly 

$15- $17 per hour + tips

*Pay increases as you hit markers in the training program

You will be most successful if:

A valid cosmetology license or up to 6 months from getting licensed 

Basic customer service/communication  skills

Comfortable answering phones and emails

Personable, driven and open to feedback

Manage time effectively

Eager to observe, learn, and grow as a professional 

Position: Stylist

 

Job Overview

 

We are looking for and experienced stylist with (2 or more years behind the chair) that is looking to grow their business and join a motivated and collaborative team.

 

A successful Maven stylist  will be  eager to learn,  open to feedback, have excellent communication skills, and be committed to showing up as their best self. 

 

Responsibility Overview

  • Be a supportive and collaborative team member 

  • Have excellent communication with guests & team 

  • Continue to grow and and improve technical skills

  • Create an exceptional  guest experience

  • Participate in keeping salon running smoothly and looking beautiful

  • Build business and personal brand 

Earnings Range

Commission

40% Commission +Tips

5% retail bonus 

5% retail bonus words education 

Hourly

Minimum hourly rate

Paid Quarterly team meetings and one on ones 

Paid Quarterly in salon classes

Paid Training for MIT's or other stylists

Position: Support Team

 

Job Overview

 

We are looking for a personable, collaborative, and self-motivated to join the Maven Team.

The support role encompasses salon support/client relations, administrative work, participation in social media/marketing, and day-to-day operations that keep the salon running smoothly and looking beautiful. 

A successful support team member will have excellent communication skills and will participate in solving challenges to improve the guest & team experience. They will be self-motivated and committed to showing up as their best self.

Starting Earnings Range

Hourly

$15 - $17
